ANSWER TO QUESTIONS ON LASER ETCHING ON GARMENTS

If you are interested in Laser Etching then the next few lines will answer most or your questions.

  1. Only Polyester materials can be laser etched. (Cotton or any blend of Poly and Cotton will not work)
  2. Lettering can’t be any smaller then 8pt
  3. Color of material that works best Grays, Royal Blue, Red, Tans, Greens (never really dark shades)
  4. The color Black never works

Why is color selection and material important?  The process of Laser Etching is a burning away of material.  Polyester will melt away while cotton will burn.  When the material melts away it leaves a darker look to the coloring, making the logo show up darker against the color material.
